Beholding Beauty

Beauty is everywhere. And yet, it is so difficult to notice, don’t you think? I believe that 2024 is the perfect year to set our minds and hearts, our eyes and ears to intentionally behold the beauty that surrounds us. We can behold beauty in the most unexpected and simplest places.

Do you find beauty in the muted colors of a winter sunrise? In the smell of a freshly baked loaf of bread? In the laughter of your family playing cards? Or maybe in the harmonies of a favorite tune? In the cleverly crafted words of a poet? In an abstract painting that makes you wonder? Or a word of apology and gift of forgiveness among friends?

I invite you to join us for a time of reflection and creative expression of the beauty we behold in the world around us and in us.

When do we meet?  (Please note time change) Saturday morning from 9:30 - 12 noon monthly. See Upcoming Events for specific class dates.

Where do we meet? Hope for the Journey Counseling Center in Loveland, CO - 1401 South Taft Avenue, Second Floor

Cost?  $55 includes instruction, art materials and a facilitated group experience.  Each participant will bring a pre-purchased mixed media journal. CONNECTION…the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship. - Brene Brown

I believe that many of us have a love-hate relationship with being CONNECTED. There’s nothing as comforting as the feeling of “being at home” with ourselves, another human or God. It truly is a gift for our bodies, minds and spirits to give and receive the sense that it’s good to just “be me”. And yet, those experiences can get complicated, confusing and disrupted at times. Did you know…this is part of the human experience and it’s ok? In fact, there is much to learn about disruption or loss of connection. What really matters is that we are able to tolerate the distress and find our “way home.” In 2023, we will explore the resources we already have and learn how to the strengthen ourselves to experience healthy, life-giving CONNECTION. Are you ready to connect? Please sign up for one or all of our classes and join our safe, positive, creative community.

We don’t heal in isolation, but in connection.

At the request of our Art Journaling community, we are now offering open studio times one Saturday per month.

What: Open studio is an opportunity to spend a few hours working on your art journal or art project in our friendly, well equipped art space. This is an open structure time (no instruction or demos).

When: Saturdays from 9-12pm on: February 5, 2022 - March 5, 2022 - April 2, 2022

Cost: $30
