Faith Affirmations

The Trinity

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three equal persons: Father God, His son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

God the Father

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, all-knowing, personal Spirit; perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He desires and pursues relationship with all people; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves, from sin and death, all who put their faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe that He is fully God and fully human. We believe in His sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal, visible return to earth.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives life to believers, enables them to understand the Scriptures, empowers them for godly living, and equips them for service and witness.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

Salvation

We believe that humankind was originally created in the image and likeness of God and, through disobedience broke relationship with God, resulting in physical and spiritual death. We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature that leads them to sin in thought, word, and deed. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are forgiven, adopted into God’s family and regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

The Church

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all Christ followers are members. We believe in the local church and God’s call to gather for fellowship, worship, and caring for those in need. We believe the church’s primary task is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a lost world.

Satan and Spiritual Warfare

We believe in the existence of Satan, sin, and evil forces in the heavenly realms, and that all these have been defeated by God in the cross of Christ. We believe that Satan is the father of lies, the accuser of the brethren and seeks to destroy God’s people. We believe that it is through the power and authority of God that we can stand against the schemes of the enemy.
